...delirium. That's the crazy look you see in her eyes. Madeline had become distracted with Daddo's "clarinet", which is actually a harmonica given to him for Christmas by a well meaning, albiet clueless, relative. No, he does not play it. Anyway, Fi stumbled upon The Guys, and boy did she play. She lined 'em up, switched 'em around, made 'em kiss each other, and loved every minute of it. Her play is so deliberate. She knows exactly what she is doing and where she's at in the course of her play. Feast your eyes on this display:
It's really amazing to see her come into her own. She saunters around with her potbelly hanging over her waistband, eyebrows cocked, ready for action. A steady chorus of "uh-oh", "ow" and chitter chatter flows freely from her. She says "ow" whenever she falls or sits down. We always tease that her arthritis and fibromyalgia are flaring up again. She has a throaty little smoker's voice that can effortlessly build to a deafening howl when she feels wronged. Usually that means that Madeline has "helped" me out by ripping some contraband - a toy, a crayon, a bottle of water, or occasionally something that is actually dangerous - out of her hands. We just love you, our Loch Ness Fi Monster.

Just to clarify, I DO play it (or at least blow into it to make noise for the girls), when I can pry it away from Maddie's superhero grip. Actually, Fi is starting to figure out how to play it as well, wierd.
