VBS - Very Boisterous Shouting?

No. Vacation Bible School! Otherwise known as THE most chaotic week of the year. Imagine the raw, unbound energy of hundreds of kids assaulting your every sense as it is unleashed in unison and in praise to the Lord. It was awesome (after we got past the crisis of Daddo on his deathbed in the hospital, of course).

Maddie is rockin' the Margaret Farqhar look on Crazy Hair Day

It was a real treat to have the opportunity to lead Maddie's VBS group. We don't get to spend a lot of time together without the younger sibs, so this was time that I really treasured.

The hoard of crazy kids. I think this was on PJ Day

Maddie and her friends, Brookie and Jenae

Our group at craft time

Our neighborhood gang - Maddie, Sal, and Emily

Intently painting her pot

Matthew is gonna paint his whole pot red!
Getting tickled by Mama at snack time

Isn't Benjamin cute?

Goin' on the kid train. This was the only way to keep them orderly as we moved from place to place.

Our handsome friend, Christopher. What a smile!

Maddie and Rylan

Waiting to get goosed

Making cuddly stuffed turtles for needy children.
Uh, Christopher, you have something on your lip.

Mmm, blue frosting

Roaming through the "wilderness" of the Exodus

I think Pastor Steve is confused. He must think he's at the Gun Show.

The weary travellers stop for a rest.

Our little Israelite crossing the Red Sea.

There was apparently a lot of splashing going on during the Red Sea crossing.

Wet n' Wild day.

Yes, it's a race, but that doesn't mean you can't stop for a proper pose.

Smile, Brookie! It's a game!

Squeeze, Rylan, Squeeze!

The last day of VBS. It was so much fun, but one more day of that craziness and I would have collapsed.
