After publicly wondering on Facebook what to do with two very "energetic" young girls on an extremely rainy day, my friend Amber suggested bundling up the kiddos and setting them loose in the torrent. I was sure that after five minutes they would demand to come inside. They LOVED it! I had to force them to come in after a half hour. Charlie and I watched from the comfort and dryness of the doorway. They were particularly drawn to one of the sprinkler holes that had formed a respectable puddle. When the fun was over, they hopped into a nice warm bath and got cozy. Thanks for the great idea, Amber!
