The Real 4th of July

I am not a slacker. I am intentionally several weeks behind on the blog to spite my sister, who maliciously went to Sweden without me. Next time, you'll think twice "Nonnie." There will be several posts in the next few days to bring us up to date.

On the 4th of July, we went to a neighborhood block party and kicked back with our fellow hood rats while eating yummy food and watching the children play. By about 7:30 pm, Maddie had logged several thousand trips down the giant bouncie/water slide that was rented to keep the kids out of trouble. She came up to me shivering and nearly in tears to tell me that she was tired and wanted to go home to watch TV. Of course, when we got home, she wanted nothing more than to go see fireworks. So, we made our way up to her school, which sits on a big hill, and sat out on the lawn to enjoy the very short T.O. fireworks show. Well, Pat, Maddie, and I sat; Fiona ran around in circles screaming and giggling with her arms waving wildly above her head the whole time. Then they passed out in the car. Good times.

What Patrick claims to be "one of the best" pictures he's ever taken of me. Really?

What Fi did all day.
